In the above-proposed reading, the text is read from right to left on
each line. Allowing for vagaries of
spelling, it apparently is intended to read: Ey vik
hvi nokkvi leya a viki. Hako lod
kugga her, "A sheltered island, where ships may lie in a harbor. Haakon brought his cog here." (Fell
