Storm clouds, Lake Nakuru
Image copyright by Mark A. Chappell

Lake Nakuru is a saline lake in the Rift Valley of east Africa, and is famous for its huge flocks of lesser flamingos, a few of which are visibile here. In addition to the flamingos, Nakuru has a beautiful gallery forest of umbrella thorn trees. I took this picture late in the afternoon as storm clouds built up to the south-east.
