Good rains in the late winter and spring of 2005 and 2008 created a bonanza of wildflowers (like the spectacular 2001 blooms) in southern California.  These Canterbury bells or California bluebells (Phacelia minor) were photographed at several locations near Riverside and Lake Elsinore. Several images have yellow or orange backgrounds, due to a profusion of goldfields or California poppies.
