Joshua tree blossoms

The iconic Joshua tree is one of several species of yuccas grow throughout much of western North America.   They can be found in many of the 'high' deserts but are perhaps most common in the Mojave Desert of California.   As would be expected, many groves are found in Joshua Tree National Park.   After good spring rains, these big lily relatives will put out abundant flower spikes, as seen here.
