Dall sheep        Images © Mark A. Chappell

'Bighorn' sheep occur in mountainous regions in North America and much of Asia, and many varieties of size, coat color, and horn configuration can be found.   Perhaps the most striking and easily recognizable of these is the white-coated Dall sheep, found in Alaska.   These rams (males) were photographed at Polychrome Pass in Denali Park.
