Risso's dolphin        Images © Mark A. Chappell

Aside from orcas, Risso's dolphins are the largest of the dolphins.   They are highly social and show considerable color variation, in part due to age; most are heavily scarred, presumably from squid bites (a favorite prey).   They have blunt snouts, large dorsal fins, and often leap above water.   These were photographed in Monterey Bay, California.
