Black-and-white warbler        Images © Mark A. Chappell

Black-and-white warblers were abundant northward migrants in south Texas in March, 2003 when I took the photograph of an adult male at Paradise Pond birding area near Corpus Cristi.   The birds with white throats are females or immatures, photographed in Everglades National Park in south Florida, near Riverside, California, and at Big Sur, California.
