MacGillivray's warblers breed are secretive little birds of dense thickets.   They breed in riparian scrub in much of the western US and are very hard to see.   These birds (males in the upper photos; female at bottom) were photographed near Mammoth Lakes, California and in Yellowstone Park, Wyoming.
