This is one of the large family of antbirds (and antwrens, antshrikes, antthrushes, antpittas….) in South America, and is one of the few that is willing to come into the open, at least briefly. .   These (brightly plumaged male and more subdued female) were photographed in a bamboo thicket near Pantiacolla Lodge in the Peruvian Amazon.
