Fieldfare

Fieldfares are large thrushes that remind me of a complexly spotted American Robins with gray heads and rumps.   They are probably the most common large thrush in much of Europe (although less abundant than the smaller song thrush) and are easily found in city parks, gardens, woods, and forests.   These pictures were taken near Bialowieza, Poland.
