Common redstart

Like their close relative the black redstart, common redstarts have red-orange tails.  Unlike black redstarts, male common redstarts have a red-orange breast and a neat black mask separated from the gray cap by a white border.   They usually stay high in trees; this bird came down low to forage and gave me the chance to take a few quick images, most in rather poor light.   It was photographed in the small town of Bialowieza in northeastern Poland.
