Cinclodes are part of the large, diverse 'ovenbird' family (Furnariidae) that is widely distributed across South America. They are mostly birds of open country; these bar-winged cinclodes were foraging around a farm field in the high Andes. These were photographed near Cuzco, Peru and in southern Chile. |
