This largish flycatcher relative had me puzzled when first seen (a common issue for birders new to the South American avifauna).   To me it looks a lot like a brownish mockingbird.   I took the picture against a foggy sky in the cloud forest around Wayqecha Research Station, at 3000 m elevation on the east slope of the Peruvian Andes.
