Northwestern crow        Images © Mark A. Chappell

Northwestern crows are a small, coastal version of the widely-distributed common crow of North America.   The two species have similar habits and appearance, but can be separated by voice and distribution.   The crow at left was sitting in a waterfront park in Skagway, Alaska, and the other bird was wandering along the beachfront in Homer, Alaska on a gray winter day.
