Little bee-eater        Images © Mark A. Chappell

Little bee-eaters are common and widely-distributed in east Africa, especially in lowlands.   These birds were photographed in Tsavo West National Park, Kenya.   They closely resemble the larger cinnamon-chested bee-eater, which occurs in mesic areas in mountain forests.
