Lesser spotted eagle

Eastern Poland has breeding sites for both the lesser spotted eagle shown here (which is relatively common) and the very similar but much rarer spotted eagle.  To be honest, I'm not 100% sure these are lesser spotted instead of spotted eagles, but the former is more likely.   Most were photographed high overhead on a spring day, as they migrated north near Bialowieza, Poland.   The bird showing the display dives (immediately below) was a breeding resident near Bialowieza.
