This is the classic Valley scene, with El Capitan on the left and Half Dome in the distance, that greets visitors driving north from the southwest Wawona entrance to Yosemite. You enter the tunnel from nice forest and mountain country, but when you emerge you see this truly stunning vista. It's been photographed probably millions of times and its at its best after a dramatic storm, but I also like the effect of low sunset light on the cliffs. |
