Stream, Deep Canyon        Images © Mark A. Chappell

Deep Canyon is normally dry at the lower end, but a mile or so up the canyon there is generally reliable water.   The little stream trickles through rocks and over small waterfalls before finally disappearing into the sandy streambed.   Of course, after a good storm the canyon is a very different and very dangerous place, with massive amounts of water surging through narrow confines.
