Coscoroba swan; Chilean name Cisne coscoroba

The intriguing-looking red-billed coscoroba swan is smaller than the sympatric black-necked swan, which sometimes can be found sharing the same ponds.   Coscorobas are a bit smaller than black-necks, but according to those with experience, are much more aggressive and harder to handle. I took these pictures near the eastern border of Parque Nacional Torres del Paine, in southern Chile.
