Parque Nacional Torres del Paine in south Chile is named for the 'Torres' (Towers) on the northeaster side of the Paine Massif. During our visit we never got a really clear view of the Torres; the photo at upper right shows the Paine Massif from a distance, with odd lenticular (?) cloud formations to the south. |
