Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in central New Mexico is famous for its wintering sandhill cranes and huge flocks of snow geese, like these.   It's worth noting that the numbers of show geese wintering at Bosque is several tens of thousands -- a lot, but other sites support hundreds of thousands of these geese.
