Cordova scenes        Images © Mark A. Chappell

Cordova is a small fishing town at the southeast side of Prince William Sound, reachable only by boat or aircraft.   There is a 50 mile road leading east out of town to a dead end (it was originally going to connect to interior Alaska but got hammered by the massive 1964 earthquake and subsequently abandoned), and some wonderful scenery.
