The Pirrung group is exceedingly well-equipped. Major equipment includes a Varian 3800 GC with autosampler for ethylene analysis, Agilent 6890 FID/capillary GC / data system, Argonaut Quest 210 SLN small molecule automated organic synthesizer, three Hewlett-Packard 1090L HPLCs, Innovative Technologies glove box, BioRad Radiance confocal fluorescence microscope with Nikon Diaphot 200 inverted microscope, LI-COR Odyssey gel scanner, Beckman Avanti J-25 centrifuge, Perkin Elmer Spectrum One FTIR with AutoIMAGE FT-IR microscope, Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer, Perkin-Elmer 480 Thermal Cycler, CEM Discover microwave synthesizer, PTI QM-7/2003 QuantaMaster spectrofluorometer, Applied Biosystems 392 DNA synthesizer, Savant SpeedVacs, Cartesian Technologies MicroSys 5100 spotter, Axon Instruments GenePix 4000B scanner, Shimadzu UV160 UV-Vis spectrometer, New Brunswick incubating shaker, two CombiFlash systems, Rayonet and Hanovia photochemical reactors. Computers include both WIndows and Apple OS X machines for personal use and instrument operation.
