My research investigates media politics, political communication, public opinion, and political behavior in the U.S.

I am interested in media effects, the mechanisms that generate news content, the policy relevance of mass opinion and behavior, and the role of context in social and political processes, among other things.

My book with Kevin Arceneaux, Changing Minds or Changing Channels? Partisan News in an Age of Choice, is now available from University of Chicago Press.

For more information on me, please take a look at my Curriculum Vitae.

Using the links to the left, you can find additional information about my research, the classes I teach, and resources at UC-Riverside.

In addition to my research and teaching, I am director of the UCR Media & Communication Lab.
