Small waterfall, Deep Canyon        Images © Mark A. Chappell

This little water-carved rock cavern, perfectly sized for a cool shower, is in the lower part of Deep Canyon.   Because of the tight confines of the grotto, I had to use an extreme wideangle lens to capture the scene; a long exposure blurred the water.   Getting the right exposure for the bright sunlit rocks and the shady recesses of the waterfall was very challenging.   During storm run-off, this pleasant little trickle of water becomes a raging torrent.   The much smaller fall below is a few hundred meters down-canyon.
