One doesn't generally associate the coastal regions of California with cold winter weather, but inland a bit it's routine to get frost-covered leaves on winter mornings. I spotted these as I took pictures of distant scenery and the patterns they made appealed to me. The oaks that shed these leaves were growing in upper Carmel Valley. |
