Monument Valley, in north-eastern Arizona near the Utah border, is one of the most famous views of the American West. I took this photo in early-morning light as we drove west along the road into Monument Valley. A polarizing filter and enhanced-saturation film, coupled with the bluish haze of the distant cliffs, helped create an almost surreal effect. |
